Trifecta Nutrition Review: Eight Macro-Focused Plans, a $112 Weekly Price and a Flat $12.99 Shipping Fee

Trifecta builds its meals around macros, with eight named plans from Keto to Protein Build to GLP-1. This review covers plans, price, shipping and terms as Trifecta publishes them as of September 2026.

By Dana WhitcombePublished Updated

The short answer

Trifecta is the most macro-oriented of the big prepared-meal services: eight plans (including Keto, Paleo, Plant Based, Get Lean and Protein Build), meal plans priced from $112.00 per weekly delivery, and flat $12.99 shipping to most states. It fits athletes and dieters who want set macros; it is less suited to people who want a large cuisine-driven menu.

Most prepared-meal services sort by cuisine or convenience. Trifecta Nutrition sorts by macros, and its plan names show it: Protein Build, Get Lean, Keto, Paleo. We did not order or taste the meals; this review is built from the service’s own published pages, and every figure carries a September 2026 check date.

Verdict by reader

If you are… Trifecta looks like…
Training and eating for protein A natural fit (Protein Build plan)
Cutting calories A reasonable fit (Get Lean plan)
Keto A dedicated plan, 10 g or less net carbs
Plant-based A dedicated plan built around plant proteins
On a GLP-1 medication A dedicated plan, but discuss food choices with your prescriber
Cooking for variety and cuisine Probably not the best fit
Shopping on lowest price Not the cheapest; see below

The eight plans

Trifecta’s shop lists eight plans. The descriptions below are Trifecta’s own wording, lightly shortened.

  1. Flex Choice. Selections from the full menu.
  2. Protein Build. High protein, nutrient and calorie dense meals to fuel training.
  3. Everyday Healthy. Macro-balanced, nutrient-rich, clean meals.
  4. Get Lean. Lower-calorie meals for weight loss.
  5. Paleo. High protein, low calorie, no grains, legumes or dairy.
  6. Keto. 10 g or less net carbs, with heart-healthy fats.
  7. Plant Based. A high-protein plan with diverse plant proteins.
  8. GLP-1. Meals designed to support goals for people on GLP-1 medications.

There is also Meal Prep, a separate a la carte style where you pick your own proteins, carbs and vegetables.

Two selection modes exist for meal plans: My Choice, where you customize after checkout, and Chef’s Choice, a rotating weekly selection where you can set up to two exclusions. If you have allergies, read the ingredient information on each meal directly and do not rely on exclusions alone.

What it costs

Trifecta’s shop lists all eight plans at $112.00 per weekly delivery, and its pricing FAQ says meal plans start at $112.00 per delivery with Meal Prep from $99. The shop also states a $99 minimum order. Shipping is a flat $12.99 to every state except Alaska and Hawaii, where it is $49.99. Sales tax applies in some states.

The shop pages we checked did not give a fixed meal count per plan, so we are not going to divide $112 into a per-meal figure. Do that yourself at checkout: (box price + $12.99 shipping) divided by the number of meals. Our cost-per-meal explainer shows how to compare services fairly, and the cheapest services roundup is where price-first shoppers should start.

Fresh, frozen and delivery logistics

Trifecta says meals last 6 to 10 days refrigerated and more than three months frozen. That freezer option is unusual among prepared-meal services and it changes how you can order: a bigger box with the back half of the week frozen. Deliveries arrive on Friday or Saturday. You can skip weeks or modify orders from your account. Check your account for the cutoff before your first order; our cancel or skip guide covers the routine.

There is also a money-back guarantee: 100% refund on your first order (up to 7 meals or $99), valid within 10 days of delivery.

Strengths

  • Plans that match how athletes and dieters think. Protein, cut, keto and plant-based are separate plans, not a filter.
  • Freezer-friendly. The 3-month frozen life gives flexibility.
  • Clear pricing. A weekly price and flat shipping are published.
  • A first-order guarantee. Lower risk to try.

Trade-offs

  • Flat shipping on every box. $12.99 is a real cost on top of the box price.
  • A $99 minimum. There is no small trial order.
  • Less cuisine variety. The plans are built around nutrition, not restaurant-style dishes. If variety matters more, compare it with CookUnity.
  • Macros are published per meal, not per plan. Check the panel on each meal you choose.

How to choose between the plans

With eight plans at the same listed weekly price, the decision comes down to your goal and the way you eat, not cost.

  • Choose Protein Build if you train and need more energy and protein, since Trifecta describes it as nutrient and calorie dense to fuel training. It is the wrong pick for a calorie deficit.
  • Choose Get Lean if weight loss is the goal, as Trifecta positions it as lower calorie.
  • Choose Everyday Healthy if you want balanced meals without a specific target.
  • Choose Keto or Paleo only if you already follow that pattern. Keto is described as 10 g or less net carbs; Paleo excludes grains, legumes and dairy.
  • Choose Plant Based if you want a high-protein plan built on plant proteins.
  • Choose Flex Choice if you would rather assemble a box from the full menu than commit to one theme.

Since your first order comes with a guarantee (100% refund up to 7 meals or $99, within 10 days of delivery, per Trifecta), the sensible way to pick is to try the plan closest to your goal and adjust from there.

How Trifecta compares

Against Factor, Trifecta has named plans and a freezer option, while Factor offers a bigger browsable menu and never-frozen food. Against CookUnity, Trifecta has a fixed weekly price and a narrower, more nutrition-driven range. Our best high-protein meal delivery guide shows where it sits among the alternatives.

Questions to settle before your first order

  • How many meals are in the box? Trifecta’s shop pages did not show a fixed count on the view we read, so confirm it at checkout before judging the $112.00 price.
  • Fresh or frozen? Decide up front which meals you will freeze, since the refrigerated window is 6 to 10 days.
  • Are you in Alaska or Hawaii? Shipping is $49.99 there, against $12.99 elsewhere.
  • Do you want to choose or be surprised? My Choice lets you customize after checkout; Chef’s Choice rotates weekly with up to two exclusions.
  • Any allergies? Read each meal’s ingredient information directly.

Logging these meals

Trifecta is the service where tracking matters most, because you chose it for the macros. Its panels give calories, protein, carbs and fat per meal, so you can enter them once and let daily totals show whether you are on target. We use PlateLens: it has custom macro targets (including a Keto split of 25% protein, 5% carbs and 70% fat), shows net carbs with fiber and sugar alcohols subtracted automatically, and includes a meal planner with a shopping list. The free plan has no expiry and needs no card. See our tracking guide for delivered meals.

This is general information, not medical advice. If you are managing a health condition or taking medication, talk to a qualified professional before choosing a plan.
